| Archlord - No More Bounties!!!! |
|
 HOLY FREAKIN COW THIS IS HUGE!!!! Even the regular servers in archlord no longer have bounties! Hot patch next week removes them. Gank 500 people and blammo who cares you cant lose XP for it. I know DF is coming, but Archlord is a VERY fun game, and this is still good news.
Next week is the planned hot-fix patch that should correct several of the key known issues from Episode 3 as well as revert some unintentional changes that were made to the service when Episode 3 went live.
- Siege Lag
- Production Skills
- Vanishing Upgrade Stones
- Minor text changes
We are also planning to disable the Bounty System with this patch across all our servers.
We have already applied a fix to the servers that adjusted the siege times back to 21:00 (GMT+1), however the Siege Commander in-game states a different time. Please be aware that this is a change we can not test because of its time sensitive nature, Game Masters will be on hand at 21:00 (GMT+1) and will broadcast if the siege does not start.

 Quite a lot of buzz online surrounding Darkfall and what appears to be an imminent release guys. I know it has been a while but lets get signed up. Names of active / inactive users are getting switched around for our clan beta sign ups. However I posted on the forums and they say that because of the stale users with the old Clan Beta after 4 years etc that clan beta is not 110% guaranteed however it plays a HUGE factor.
So make sure you sign up personally for the beta at: http://www.darkfallonline.com/beta
Also be sure to specify The Dirtstars as your guild so hopefully it will push us through .. that is the guild tag for our accepted clan beta so we want to see us online. Keep pushin .. we will get into beta and check this out guys. If you have already signed up make sure you go into your Darkfall settings and add 'The Dirtstars' as your guild.

| Darkfall 2008 Release and 15 Minute Video |

Well guys Darkfall is coming this year. On the forums you can find the link to the 17 minute video. You can imagine my suprise when im surfing .. hit mmorpg and see DARKFALL up in lights :) .. Well when I saw the 2008 release date I made sure all of our stuff is in order on their forums, I suggest you do the same for your accounts as well if you havnt been there recently. | Archlord EP3 - Monday Aug 18th!! |
|
Hi guys, been a while since I posted on the main site .. sorry but its summer :) Hard to believe though that next month is september already. I havnt really had time to keep up on much gaming other than Archlord really as the weather has been decent, but here is what I do know. Sam mentioned that Rappelz EP5 came out recently. I believe there are 2 new pets in it. He can post more on the forums if he wants, but I know he is a busy cat as well.
Archlord EP3. This is huge for 2 reasons. 1) Because the game is now complete. This is all high level content, high level zones, more skill points, more class dependancies, more armor options blah blah. So Archlord will have A LOT more depth for high level characters. 2) They are launching the hardcore PVP server in conjunction with EP3 from what we were told. Never since Asherons Call do you have unlimited and open PVP with looting of peoples packs as well as their gear that they have on! I will definately be having a character on this server as long as there are some of you goombahs to laugh it up with.
The files for EP3 have been sent to multiple sites and gamershell.com has been confirmed at this point to already have the files available for download. Codemasters plans for a lot more people to be jumping on the game with all thats going on so it could be pretty exciting. DNote the community official has posted today that you can download EP3 now .. and the game will be live next week! Get on this weekend guys .. make sure you have a base knowledge of the game .. and stay tuned. Im actually on vacation next week so depending on family / friends / in town etc I should be good to get a few base levels on the new server and check out some of the new content as well. CMon guys this could be fun for the winter. The only other thing on the radar is Warhammer and they have announced no free for all pvp, no loot, no nuttin .. so unless its PVE only you are looking for, this is our best bet.
DNOTE - "Morning all, the standalone patch was distributed last thing yesterday and we give our partners a little bit of time to receive it and upload it before we start linking to them, Gamershell just happen to be really efficient. ;)
News post with all the download locations will be going up shortly, we're just confirming who received it now.
If you install it, as has been said already it will sit in a temp folder until the client needs it, which will be next week."

| Archlord EP3 and PvP Server |

No specifics, however there is some meat. The hardcore server was going to go live next week ... however because of peoples posts wanting this server to be HARDCORE and not have rules to limit pvp they are changing the bounty ruleset (no XP loss WOOHOO) and as such they are pushing the server back to when EP3 goes live. This was announced in March as a July release. Last week it was put on codemasters site as in the comming weeks .. and todays post by the moderator says the date is very close and sounds like things are on track because he wants to just tell us the release date. Anyways I wont bore you guys anymore.

| Archlord Hardcore PVP Server Update |

Still no ETA for a release date, but the Codemasters Moderator gave this little tidbit of info. The Hardcore Server has now been verified as players looting the corpses of PK victims. He said there will be item drops and even though there is a higher percentage chance that items in your inventory will fall .. there is a chance that you can lose your gear / weapons / armor etc!!!! WHAT DOES THAT SOUND LIKE!!! Darktide version 2.0 boys. People will be carrying DIs again for sure with this to keep the percentages up that they will keep their gear :) I totally cant wait. They are also looking to remove bounty experience loss for the regular servers as well. This is huge because who wants to lose experience when you KILL someone else. The loser should ALWAYS lose, and the winner gets the spoils :) Anyways .. looks like the PVP system is moving in the right direction. Just frustrating that after all that "leveling" ill be starting at level 1 again on the hardcore server .. but what can you do hahha .. Item Drops and Looting will be worth it even if im a lowbie forever hahaha. Here is the note that DNote posted:
"If bounties are removed, we'll remove them from all servers, also item drop on the 4th server is confirmed, with items in inventory having a higher chance to drop than equipped items (we can adjust based on slot too), going rogue also increases the chance of items dropping.

| Archlord - The most hardcore PVP on the market??? |

What da!!! Codemasters just started a bunch of sticky threads on the forums as they are thinking of opening up a "Darktide" server for Archlord. Currently they are looking at 100% pvp with full looting of corpses. Granted this sounds AMAZING to me as there hasnt been a full Hardcore PVP game / server since Darktide but since I have a level 83 and a level 72 char, rerolling back to level 1 doesnt sound that fun :( .. I would much rather them just change the current servers but I guess that might kill the game as many people dont care for hardcore pvp rules. So would I play a server in Archlord with full pvp that let you loot corpses???? Dont you freakin know it!! Castle seiges are incredible now .. no lag .. 100s of players going head to head for castles is sooo much fun. Archlord system is great and with the new skills the archlord will be a complete god in game. Then add in guild ranking .. pvp .. looting .. dropping your gear on death... it will be the most fun anyone could have for sure. Again the only bad thing is im pretty much top level in the game and rerolling makes me cry hahahaha. Anyways just wanted to keep you all in the loop. Nothing planned and this is only Q&A over on the forums, but anyways. Check out the Archlord Forums if you would like any more info .. and ill post on ours as well.

| Rohan .. Age Of Conan .. And Archlord |
|
Well I have made a char in Rohan and im level 5. Thing is the PVP system above 30 (Grinding from ganking and also 30% chance to take loot from victims) sounds cool, the sheer fact that Age Of Conan came out less than a week earlier than Rohan has really squashed things. Marc / Hallu / Roark / Blood Gawdess / Normie to name a few freaks are all playing it. For right now im going to stick with summer / family / motorbike etc etc, however Ill be playing some archlord to fill the void. If anyone wants to log in and try Rohan out, get in TS and let me know, Ill def have some laughs with you ... however in the meantime this is what im waiting for ... CLICK HERE FOR LINK . Archlord EP3 is coming .. someday and with double the skills for every class, 3 entirely new worlds, items .. etc etc etc its looking like it will be awesome!!!  Just a small update on the haps. Rohan has been pushed back til Tuesday the 27th for those interrested. Archlord has double drops / double XP going on all weekend long until Tuesday as it is a long weekend in England (hometown for Archlord). Besides that things are pretty much business as usual. Marc is keeping me posted on Age of Conan and it sounds sick. The gankfest and the sheer ammt of X Darktiders there sounds pretty exciting. If it stays strong maybe ill jump in this fall when the weather dips down we will see. Well thats all for now guys, have a good weekend.

| Rohan Open Beta Date Released |
|
Thanks goes out to Wolfblood for finding and reporting this info. It appears Rohan will go live on: Tuesday, May 27th, PST. If anyone is interrested in giving it a shot, and getting a few laughs the only other importanting things to note are: 1) No character wipe after open beta. 2) Download the client at any time and it will patch when it goes live. 3) Make sure you get in teamspeak if /when you play so we can have some laughs. Other than that its pretty much business as usual. I know Hallu and Marc picked up AoC so im sure we will be anxious to hear just how the game works out and Ill post anything I hear as well. Summer time .. kind of a bad time for gaming, but casual gaming is still worth some laughs.
